Cat Amato is an improviser all the way from Naperville IL. She was inspired to pursue comedy after her older cousins took all the other cool hobbies, and she’s been working on it ever since! Cat has 10 years of improv experience and 4 years of competitive speech team experience, where she honed her comedy writing skills. In her free time, Cat enjoys reading books, obsessing over her dogs, and browsing the yarn aisles at the local craft stores. You can also catch her in the suburbs at the open mics or at any nearby Barnes and Noble.

Dave Asher is a veteran pianist of the Chicago improv scene. He grew up in Champaign-Urbana and moved up to Chicago to study theater. That led him to performing comedy with a troupe in Amsterdam, where he began to experiment with music and returned to America to combine it with improv. Sam Barbaro is a Chicago native who has been teaching, coaching and improvising in the “Chicagoland area” since the 1900s. He has completed conservatory programs with Second City, IO and The Annoyance Theater and has performed with several house teams including Greenroom Improv, Comedy Sportz, Improv Playhouse and currently BABS Comedy Club. Sam enjoys playing the ukulele and bocce ball, but not at the same time.

Hailing from the Northeast Marzell Barker has decided to cut her teeth in the comedy world performing standup and improv at BABS comedy club. Marzell has 9 years of experience of performing burlesque in NYC, Boston, and now Chicago! A producer, and MC, Marzell can easily be found in the Chicago LARP scene and running TTRPGS. 

Pat is an improviser, writer, and independent filmmaker from River Forest, IL. Prior to becoming a BABs Babe in 2025, Pat was the co-founder of Armistice Pictures where he wrote, directed, and produced a number of independent short films. Pat shares his name with Chicago Alderman, Pat Dowell, who has proudly represented the 3rd Ward since 2007.

Colin Glowienke is proud to be one of the BABS BABeS! He started improvising at a comedy club in the suburbs of Chicago and is ecstatic to perform with some of the same cast members as he did back in the day. Colin began performing as a singer and opera performer 15 years ago, but has decided to move on to bigger and better things like comedy improv. He enjoys spending time with his wife and their cats, as well as singing in the car and shower. You can also catch him performing standup in the Chicagoland area.

Keith Hernandez (Aurora) is a consistent crowd favorite, and has been with BABS since day one. Keith has performed at Piper's Alley, The Lincoln Lodge, Comedy Vault, Comedy Shrine, and other venues across Chicago, Milwaukee, Tampa and Hawaii. Keith performs improv with Greenroom and Here4ABit Improv, as well as standup and sketch comedy, is a BABS improv teacher, and a writer for News of the World. Laura Hugg is a nationally touring stand up, improv & sketch comic. Her style is a quick-witted mix of observational comedy and self-deprecation, filtered through a darkly optimistic lens. Laura has featured for such comics as Dwayne Kennedy and Rocky LaPorte. She produces two stand up shows, “Keep Coming Back”, at The Lincoln Lodge in Chicago, and “We Are Not a Glum Lot”, a touring 12-step themed show.  Laura was a frequent performer, emcee and teacher at The Laughing Academy in Glenview IL, from 2020 till it closed its doors in 2026. In 2024, she became a cast member of The BABS Babes”, at BABS Comedy Club, where she is also an instructor. In 2025 she became a cast member of Chicagoland’s long running “GreenRoom Improv”. She hosts an open mic at Grandpa’s Place in Glenview IL, the 2nd Tuesday of the month at 7pm. Laura is a graduate of the Second City Conservatory. By day, Chase is a mechanical engineer with a degree in Mechanical Engineering (Energy) from the University of North Carolina. His career has included roles as Facility Manager for Lifestyle Family Fitness, Engineer I at Nationwide Children's Hospital in Columbus, Ohio, and he currently works as a Design Engineer at Morrison Container Handling Solutions. At BABS Comedy Club, Chase is the co-owner of the building, facility manager, and resident DJ. He keeps the building running smoothly, handles maintenance and repairs, provides technical support for every show, and runs sound and music for our standup and improv performances. If something breaks, goes missing, or just needs fixing, chances are Chase is already on it.

Joyce loves laughter and performing. Her comedy training includes improv, stand up, musical improv, and sketch comedy. She has studied at Second City, CiC theatre, One Group Mind, Annoyance Theater, Malarkey Comedy and Home Comedy Theatre. Joyce is an applied theater practitioner and is trained in Theater of the Oppressed and Playback Theater. You can find her performing at BABS Comedy in Forest Park, Comedy Clubhouse, Home Comedy Theater and producing shows with her indie team at Bughouse Theater. Joyce steadfastly believes in the healing power of play and teaches improv for anxiety at Second City. While comedy seems like it's her whole life, she loves to eat and is always on the lookout for restaurants to try.

Allan Morgan has been one of Earth's Tallest Humans for numerous presidential administrations, including Democratic, Republican and perhaps Whig. He currently hails from the butt-end of the Chicago exurbs, and his humor stylings vacillate between smarty-pants overly-verbose and stoopidly inappropriate, often in the same sentence. He's been on the radio (Dr. Demento), in the movies (Club Fed, The Skateboard Kid) and TV (CBS' Nash Bridges, MTV) for various comedy and musical shenanigans; ask to see his ever-dwindling royalty checks. He has studied at Cross Currents, the ACME theatre in Hollywood and The Comedy Shrine, and is currently not wearing pants.

Patrick Newson is an improviser/ comedian/ actor from Chicago IL. A graduate of both Second City and IO Chicago,he has written and acted in such productions as OK Stupid, Will Smirk for Food, and IO's POV (a weekly sketch show. Creator of the long running Bar Show, and former ensemble member of The Comedy Shrine. Patrick is the Patrick in the touring duo PLaytime with Patrick and Preston, as well as an ensemble member of the improv group Night Moose. As a stand up he's opened for such headliners as Tim Meadows, Harry Anderson, Elayne Boozler, and Rick Overton.

Preston O’ffill is thrilled to be part of the BABS BABeS! Favorite stage credits include Frank Abagnale Jr. in Catch Me If You Can and Tom Sawyer in both The Adventures of Tom Sawyer and The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn (he’s clearly got a type). Preston is also an active improviser and has performed with Baby Wants Candy, Playtime W Patrick & Preston, and Here 4 A Bit. When he’s not performing, Preston enjoys teaching improv to young performers and hopes to pass along the same confidence, creativity, and joy the art form has given him.

Eric was found as a baby abandoned in a dumpster behind an improv club, and it's rumored that his very first words were "yes, and." Eric is from Elk Grove Village and does office work in his regular job, but does comedy and acting work all across the Chicago area. After doing comedy for a few years after school, he started performing with Babs in 2024, and started doing acting the year after.

Emily Ramirez is the founder and owner of BABS Comedy Club, an Actor's Equity performer, and a comedian, director, producer, choreographer, and educator with more than 20 years of professional performing experience. Her career has spanned principal ballet roles with BalletMet and Charlotte Ballet, the Broadway National Tour of The Phantom of the Opera, and performances at acclaimed comedy venues including The Second City, The Laugh Factory, The Comedy Vault, Lincoln Lodge, and The Annoyance. Tré has been doing comedy for 5 years, beginning with improv and later discovering sketch and stand up. He performs in Chicago and also Seattle; where he lives part time with his wife and dog. When he isn’t performing comedy, Tré enjoys playing video games, watching cartoons and receiving free stuff like Super Bowl tickets or millions of dollars. He also likes hip hop.

Matthew Sigur is a writer, comedian, musician and journalist from Louisiana. After moving to Chicago in 2018, he quickly went through The Second City’s sketch writing program while freelancing for outlets such as Ringer, Roger Ebert, and WBEZ. With Babs owner Emily Ramirez, he created the Faker Comedy sketch video channel. At Babs, you can catch him performing as part of the Musical Improv Comedy Cabaret and as co-anchor of the Weekend Update-style news segment, News of the World. He loves his wife, Jessica; his cat, Ditalini; and living in Forest Park.
