Welcome to BABS Comedy Club ("BABS," "we," "our," or "us"). By using this website, purchasing tickets, registering for classes, or attending an event, you agree to these Terms & Conditions.
Acceptance of Terms
All ticket sales are subject to availability. Prices and event details may change without notice. Tickets purchased through our website are non-transferable except as permitted below.
Refunds & Exchanges
Unless otherwise stated, all ticket sales are final.
If a customer cannot attend: Contact us before the event. While refunds are generally not available, we may offer a credit or transfer to another performance at our discretion.
If BABS cancels an event, customers will receive either:
• a full refund, or
• the option to transfer to another performance.
Ticket Purchases
Late seating may not be permitted immediately upon arrival in order to avoid disrupting the performance. Admission after the show begins is not guaranteed.

Audience Conduct
Guests are expected to treat performers, staff, and fellow audience members with respect.
Disruptive behavior—including excessive talking, heckling, harassment, intoxication, or conduct that interferes with the performance—may result in removal without refund.
Guests are strictly prohibited from making physical contact with performers, staff, or other guests without that individual's express consent. This policy applies before, during, and after performances. Any unwanted physical contact may result in immediate removal from the venue without refund and, when appropriate, involvement of law enforcement.
Photography for personal use is generally permitted unless otherwise announced.
Professional photography, video recording, audio recording, or livestreaming performances without written permission is prohibited.
Photography & Recording
To help share the fun and promote future events, BABS Comedy Club may photograph, video record, or otherwise capture portions of performances and audience reactions during events, classes, and other activities.
By attending an event at BABS Comedy Club, you acknowledge that your image, likeness, voice, or general appearance may be captured incidentally in photographs or video recordings. These materials may be used by BABS for promotional, advertising, educational, or marketing purposes, including on our website, social media channels, digital advertisements, printed materials, and other promotional content, without compensation or further notice.
If you prefer not to appear in promotional media, please let a member of our staff know before the event. While we cannot guarantee that every guest can be excluded from wide audience shots or live event footage, we will make reasonable efforts to accommodate your request whenever practicable.
Guests may take occasional photos for personal, non-commercial use unless otherwise announced for a specific event. Professional photography, video recording, audio recording, livestreaming, or recording of performances without prior written permission from BABS Comedy Club is prohibited.

Assumption of Risk
Guests voluntarily assume the ordinary risks associated with attending live performances.
Comedy performances—particularly improv and standup—may include light audience interaction. By attending, guests acknowledge they may be invited to participate. Participation is always voluntary. Audience interaction does not grant permission for physical contact or other conduct that exceeds the boundaries established by performers or staff.

Food & Beverage
Outside alcohol is strictly prohibited. Guests are welcome to bring their own food unless otherwise noted for a specific event.
Some performances are intended for adults. Please review each event listing before purchasing tickets. Shows marked 18+ require any guests under 18 to be accompanied by a parent or guardian. 21+ shows will be strictly limited to guests ages 21 and up. Always be prepared to show your ID when ordering alcoholic beverages. We do not serve alcohol to underage guests, including during private events.
Age Restrictions
Students must purchase either a single-class pass or full-session registration prior to participating in a workshop. We strongly encourage registering online in advance, as walk-in attendance is subject to availability and cannot be guaranteed.
Missed classes are non-refundable. However, students may make up missed classes during their current workshop session or a future session, subject to availability. Makeup classes must be requested by emailing babscomedyclub@gmail.com before the missed class whenever possible.
For the safety and well-being of all participants, alcohol may not be purchased or consumed by students during classes or workshops.
BABS is committed to providing a supportive, respectful, and inclusive learning environment. Students are expected to treat instructors and fellow classmates with courtesy and respect at all times. Disruptive, abusive, or inappropriate behavior may result in a verbal warning. Continued or serious misconduct may result in removal from the class or workshop without refund.
Classes
Private Events
Private event reservations are subject to the terms and conditions set forth in BABS Comedy Club's Private Event Rental Agreement.
To officially reserve a private event, the event organizer must:
Sign the Private Event Rental Agreement; and
Submit the required 50% non-refundable rental deposit.
An event is not considered booked or guaranteed until both the signed Rental Agreement and required deposit have been received and accepted by BABS Comedy Club.
The Private Event Rental Agreement governs matters including, but not limited to, payment schedules, cancellations, guest conduct, venue policies, liability, and other event-specific terms.
BABS Comedy Club is committed to making our venue as welcoming and accessible as possible. Information regarding our current accessibility features, accommodations, parking, restroom accessibility, seating, and other accessibility-related details can be found on our Accessibility page (or our First Visit page, if that's where it lives).
If you have questions about accessibility or would like to request an accommodation, we encourage you to contact us before your visit. While we will make reasonable efforts to accommodate requests, some features of our historic building may limit available accommodations at this time.

Intellectual Property
All intellectual property including, but not limited to, logos, graphics, promotional photos/videos, and written material belongs to BABS Comedy Club.
Website Accuracy
We do our best to keep all website information accurate. Mistakes, although rare, do happen on occasion and are corrected immediately once we are made aware of them. We appreciate your understanding as we are only human. Performer lineups, event times, pricing, and other details are subject to change without notice.
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, BABS Comedy Club, its owners, employees, contractors, volunteers, performers, instructors, and affiliates shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of or relating to your use of this website, attendance at our venue, participation in classes or workshops, or attendance at any event.
Guests assume responsibility for their own personal property while visiting BABS Comedy Club. BABS is not responsible for lost, stolen, or damaged personal belongings.
By attending an event or participating in a class, workshop, or private event, you acknowledge that participation is voluntary and assume the ordinary risks associated with attending a live entertainment venue. Nothing in these Terms & Conditions limits or excludes liability where such limitation or exclusion is prohibited by law, including liability for willful misconduct or gross negligence where applicable.
Guests are expected to consume alcoholic beverages responsibly and comply with all applicable laws. BABS Comedy Club reserves the right to refuse alcohol service to any person for any lawful reason and reserves the right to remove any guest whose behavior poses a safety risk or disrupts the experience of others. Guests are responsible for arranging safe transportation to and from the venue.
Limitation of Liability
Governing Law
These Terms & Conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Illinois, without regard to its conflict of law principles.
Any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms & Conditions, your use of this website, or your attendance at BABS Comedy Club shall be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Cook County, Illinois, and you consent to the personal jurisdiction and venue of such courts.
If any provision of these Terms & Conditions is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.
BABS Comedy Club reserves the right to modify these Terms & Conditions at any time. Updated versions will be posted on this website with a revised effective date. Continued use of the website or attendance at BABS Comedy Club after any changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms & Conditions.
